1000L IBC Heater Jackets (40°C & 90°C)
1000L IBC Heating Jackets
Designed for standard 1000-litre IBC containers, these insulated heater jackets provide controlled heating for liquids, viscous products and suitable low-melting-point materials.
Choose the output that best suits your application:
1,400W IBC Heater | −5 to 40°C
Best for frost protection, gentle warming and maintaining temperature.
2,800W IBC Heater | 0 to 90°C
Higher output for quicker warming and more demanding heating applications.
3,990W Rapid Heat IBC Heater | 0 to 90°C
Maximum heating output for faster heat-up. Includes an insulated IBC lid.
Higher Specification, More Heating Power
Our IBC heating range is designed to give you more performance for your money.
The 1,400W model provides 40% more heating output than many 1,000W alternatives, while the 2,800W version offers 40% more output than a typical 2,000W heater. The 3,990W Rapid Heat model provides around 33% more heating power than many 3,000W jackets.
That additional output can help shorten heating times and provide greater heating capacity in colder or more demanding applications.
You also benefit from:
- IP54 protection
- 5m power cable
- 110V and 240V options
- Adjustable analogue temperature control
- Insulated construction to reduce heat loss
- Rapid Heat model supplied with insulated lid
1000L IBC Heater Jackets (40°C & 90°C) – Common Uses
1000L IBC heater jackets are commonly used for:
- Oils and lubricants
- Resins and adhesives
- Fats and waxes
- Chemicals and process liquids
- Food ingredients
- Other viscous materials
Heating can help make thicker materials easier to pump, pour and process.
Why Choose Multifoils Direct?
More heating power and a higher specification without the premium price.
Our 1,400W IBC Heater Jacket delivers 40% more heating output than many standard 1,000W alternatives, while the 2,800W model offers 40% more than a typical 2,000W jacket. The 3,990W Rapid Heat model provides around 33% more output than many 3,000W alternatives.
That extra heating power can help reduce heat-up times and gives you more capacity for demanding heating applications.
You also benefit from IP54 protection and a 5m power cable, compared with the lower IP ratings and shorter 3m or 4m cables supplied with some competing products.
The 3,990W Rapid Heat model includes an insulated lid as standard, helping reduce heat loss and improve heating efficiency.
With competitive trade pricing and Next Working Day UK Mainland Delivery on orders placed before 12pm, Multifoils Direct gives you more specification, more heating power and better overall value for money.
Actual heat-up time will depend on the product, fill level, starting temperature and ambient conditions.

Which heater should I choose for my IBC?
Choose the 1,400W model for gentle warming and frost protection, the 2,800W model when you need more heating power, or the 3,990W Rapid Heat model when faster heat-up is the main priority.
What is the difference between the 1,400W and 2,800W models?
The 2,800W model has twice the heating output and a wider 0–90°C thermostat range, making it more suitable for higher-temperature applications and quicker warming.
When should I choose the 3,990W Rapid Heat version?
Choose the Rapid Heat model when you want the highest available heating output. It uses three heating circuits and also includes an insulated IBC lid as standard.
Can the 0–90°C models heat the liquid itself to 90°C?
The 0–90°C figure is the thermostat control range, not a guaranteed liquid temperature. Actual temperatures depend on the product being heated, starting temperature, fill level and surrounding conditions.
Are 110V and 240V IBC heaters available?
Yes. The 1,400W and 2,800W models are available in both 110V and 240V. The 3,990W Rapid Heat model is 240V only.
How quickly will a 1000L IBC heat up?
There is no single heat-up time because performance varies depending on the liquid, quantity, starting temperature, ambient conditions and insulation. Higher-wattage models provide more heating output and can help reduce heating time.
Can the heaters be left running for long periods?
They are suitable for continuous operation when correctly installed and used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
