- Adjustable circumference: 1,800–1,950mm
- Jacket height: 850mm
- Indicative heating rate: 3–5°C per hour
- Insulated wrap-around construction
For standard 200–220L industrial drums, choose the 1,100W heater and select either analogue or digital control along with the correct voltage for your electrical supply.
30L Drum Heater Jackets
For smaller drums, choose between two heating outputs depending on the application.
200W Drum Heater
Designed for gentle warming, frost protection and maintaining product temperature.
- 200W heating output
- 240V
- Analogue temperature control
- Adjustable 0–90°C thermostat
- Adjustable circumference: 870–1,020mm
- Jacket height: 400mm
- Indicative heating rate: 5–10°C per hour
300W Drum Heater
Provides additional heating power where faster warming or higher working temperatures are required.
Exactly the same as above, but with a indicative heating rate: 10–15°C per hour.
Which Drum Heater Should I Choose?
Choose the 200W heater for gentle warming, frost protection and temperature maintenance.
Choose the 300W heater when quicker warming or a higher working temperature is required.
Typical Applications
Industrial drum heater jackets can help warm suitable:
- Oils and lubricants
- Adhesives and resins
- Waxes and fats
- Soaps and coatings
- Food ingredients
- Process liquids
- Other temperature-sensitive materials
Heating suitable materials can reduce viscosity and make them easier to transfer, pour, pump and process.
Heating Performance of the Industrial Drum Heater Jackets – 30L & 200–220L
The thermostat can be adjusted from 0–90°C, although this does not guarantee that the drum contents will reach 90°C.
Actual temperature and heat-up time will depend on the material being heated, volume, drum construction, starting temperature and surrounding conditions.
Always ensure that the contents and drum are suitable for the selected temperature before heating.
Indoor & Outdoor Use
These drum heater jackets are designed primarily for indoor applications.
For outdoor use, an additional suitable weatherproof cover should be used to protect the heater from external conditions.

What is a drum heater jacket?
A drum heater jacket is an insulated electric heating jacket designed to wrap around a drum or barrel and provide controlled, even heating. Industrial drum heater jackets are commonly used to warm oils, resins, adhesives, waxes, fats and other suitable liquids or materials. Heating can help maintain product temperature, reduce viscosity and make materials easier to pour, pump or process.
What size drums do these heater jackets fit?
Our drum heater jackets are available for both 30L drums and larger 200–220L industrial drums. The 30L drum heater jackets have an adjustable circumference of approximately 870–1,020mm and a jacket height of 400mm. The 200–220L drum heater jackets have an adjustable circumference of approximately 1,800–1,950mm and a jacket height of 850mm. Always check the dimensions of your drum before ordering.
Which drum heater jacket should I choose?
The best drum heater jacket depends on your drum size, required heating speed, temperature requirements and electrical supply. For 30L drums, choose between a 200W heater for gentle warming and temperature maintenance or a 300W heater where faster heating is required. For standard 200–220L industrial drums, choose one of our 1,100W drum heater jackets, available with analogue or digital temperature control.
What is the difference between the 200W and 300W 30L drum heaters?
The main difference is heating power. The 200W 30L drum heater is designed for gentle warming, frost protection and maintaining product temperature, with an indicative heating rate of approximately 5–10°C per hour. The 300W version provides faster heating, with an indicative heating rate of approximately 10–15°C per hour. Actual heating performance will depend on the contents, quantity, starting temperature, drum construction and surrounding temperature.
How quickly will a 200L drum heater heat a drum?
Our 1,100W 200–220L drum heater jackets have an indicative heating rate of approximately 3–5°C per hour. The actual time required to heat a 200L drum will depend on several factors, including the type and volume of material being heated, starting temperature, ambient temperature and construction of the drum. For this reason, heating times should always be treated as approximate rather than guaranteed.
Can a drum heater heat contents to 90°C?
Our drum heater jackets feature adjustable temperature control from 0–90°C. However, setting the thermostat to 90°C does not necessarily mean that the contents of the drum will reach 90°C. The final product temperature will depend on heat loss, ambient conditions, drum material, volume and the thermal properties of the contents being heated. Always check that both the drum and its contents are suitable for the required temperature.
Are these suitable as 200L barrel heaters?
Yes. Our 1,100W models are designed for standard 200–220L industrial drums and can also be referred to as 200L barrel heaters, drum heating jackets or heated drum jackets. The adjustable wrap-around design helps provide controlled heating over a large surface area of the drum.
Can a drum heater reduce the viscosity of thick liquids?
Yes. Controlled heating is commonly used to reduce the viscosity of suitable oils, resins, adhesives and other thick liquids. As the material becomes warmer, it may flow more easily, which can make pumping, pouring and processing more efficient. The correct working temperature will depend on the material, so always follow the manufacturer's handling and temperature guidance for the product being heated.
