How to Screw Through Multifoil Insulation Products
Fastfix Multifoil Insulation Screws
A question we’re commonly asked is how to screw through multifoil insulation products such as SuperQuilt and EcoQuilt Expert?
In the video below, you can see how we use our FastFix Multifoil Screws to secure the wooden battens in place with YBS SuperQuilt layered inbetween. These screws can also be used with all types of Multifoil Insulation Including;
- YBS SuperQuilt
- EcoQuilt Expert
- YBS BreatherQuilt
- Airtec Double
- YBS SuperQuilt Trade
- YBS SuperQuilt Lite
The screws we recommend using are the FastFix Multifoil Insulation Screws which have been cleverly designed to work with all types of multifoil insulation products. Why are FastFix Multifoil Insulation Screws different to standard screws? The screws have a 40 degree deep single thread which creates resistance to the screws being pulled out and creates a secure hold, they have a sawtooth design which prevents the wooden battens from splitting, they are also double counter sunk which assists with counter sinking by reducing the risk of head shear whilst also providing head strength.
